Here’s today’s quote:

Our work is the presentation of our capabilities.

Edward Gibbon

Edward GibbonEdward Gibbon lived in England from 1737 to 1794, and was a Member of Parliament. He authored the six-volume book, The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.

So when Edward spoke about ‘presentation,’ he certainly did not identify the word with the PowerPoint slide deck that we associate with presentations nowadays. In fact, he may have not even identified ‘presentation’ with paper presentations. In those days. ‘presentation’ signified appearance more than anything else. Even today, it looks like we use the digital presentations to improve the appearance of our companies, our projects, ourselves, and so much more!
